Wesley Campbell, director of the Purdue Science Bound program, informed the club about the origin and purpose of this program. The program encourages minorities and low income students to pursue careers in science. The program begins with students in the 7th grade. Those students who participate are required to take part in after school science activities and attend summer science camps at Purdue. The students who complete the program through their senior year receives free tuition and books to study a science or math program of their choice at Purdue.
