Angela Rusk of Warren County, a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar, met with the Attica-Williamsport Rotary Club last Wednesday morning as she prepares to leave in February for Melbourne, Australia.  She was the recipient of the Robert and Alice Todd scholarship that now provides her the opportunity of advancing her work in physical therapy in the land down under. Ms. Rusk, who holds a degree from the University of Evansville and works in Lafayette, will leave the United States about the middle of next month.....More

Priscilla Davis reported that Bob Quirk would have a book signing at the Attica Public Library and that Chris Woodworth would be at the Attica Library on Thursday, 09 February from 5 to 7 for a book signing of her newest release, “Georgie’s Moon.”  Profits from Ms. Woodworth’s signing would go to benefit the Attica Public Library’s children’s department.  Contact Priscilla at the Library for more information.

Other meeting happenings:

Valerie Maus told the club of an upcoming day trip by bus to Dayton of 18 May. Those interested in attending the clothing revue need to contact Valerie.

Regarding make-up meeting that Rotarians are urged to make, President Bob Geyer reminded the club that those can be made by groups as well as individual members.

Suzann Shackleton indicated that the local club would be involved with a Group Study Exchange, an international exchange program for young professionals. The date of that exchange will be announced later.

Judy Hollander indicated that some members attended a meeting with the Boswell charter and heard a presentation on organ donors.

Bob and Martha Geyer will host a breakfast at the Attica Hotel last Monday for out of town dignitaries attending the anniversary meeting at the Beef House on Sunday.

There is no meeting on the 25th because of the Anniversary celebration the Sunday. The next meeting is February 1 when the club will return to the Harrison Hills Country Club for its weekly meetings.
