Dear District 6560/6540 Rotarians,
This is the Artist Call for the First Annual Red
Gold/Rotarian Art Exhibition to be held in conjunction with the Rotary Joint
District Conference, April 7-9, 2006 at the Horizon Convention Center, Muncie,
Indiana.
A juried event showing the "many talented faces of
Rotary" offers an opportunity to join Red Gold in honoring the
"tomato" with unique Rotarian-made art.
This exhibition is open to all Rotarians and those related to Rotarians producing fine arts and crafts living in the Joint Districts of 6540 or 6560. The work may be serious or humorous in nature and must in some way involve, delineate, or exonerate the tomato. (i.e. all red painting, or sculpture of tomato, or tomato bowl)
A preview event and reception Friday evening, April 6,
sponsored by the Red Gold Co. will honor Rotarians with awards and festivities
to "kick-off" the Joint 6540 and 6560 District Conference.

Eligibility:
Artist
must be a current Rotarian or a relative of Rotarians residing in District 6540
or 6560.
Media Specifications:
· All media accepted

Framed (two-dimensional works) that do not exceed 48" in any
one direction
·
Three-dimensional work will be accepted (If work is large please
specify)
Insurance:
While all
reasonable care and handling of each accepted exhibited works,
Muncie Rotary Club will not be liable for loss or damage.

Best use of a Tomato in Art $200
Best use of term Red Gold and Rotary in Art $200
March 1: Slides or photos with media, dimensions, title, cost or NFS, artist's name and particulars must be received for jurying. Send materials to:

March 10: Jury of submitted slides and photos
March 15: Accepted notifications will be sent.
April 6: Work must be shipped or brought to the Horizon Center by 2pm. Work must be labeled as provided in acceptance letter.

April 13: All work must be picked up. If a piece needs return shipping, cost is responsibility of artist. Artists of all work sold will receive checks by April 20th.
