Christina Flint, daughter of Rotarian Sandy White, with a Masters degree in Egyptology, related the daily life of the early Egyptians and gave illustrations of  hieroglyphics.  Because of the present interest in the return exhibition of King Tut, which many local club members will attend, she punctuated her talk with facts about the boy king, in reality an insignificant king but one best known.  The local club is scheduled to tour the exhibit in August.

She also gave a very vivid description of the method Egyptians used to prepare the body for burial.  One item that caught the attention of most members was the practice of discarding of the brain because they deemed it an insignificant organ.  Some members remarked they thought theirs still belonged it that category.

Christina is currently studying at Oxford Brookes University in England. The following link will give you the opportunity to share Christina's trip to Egypt...... Egypt Pictures

The process required a close association with the Chinese government.  While presently in the United States, he will return to China serving in an advisory capacity on a long-term basis.
