Keynote Brass Founded
in 1993, the Keynote Brass consists of six professional
musicians based in central Indiana, all
of whom are top performers in the Midwest. Allen
Miller, trumpet, teaches at Butler University. Daniel
Golando, trumpet, is a freelance and studio musician who
frequently performs with area orchestras. Kent
Leslie, horn, performs and records as a soloist and with many
major ensembles throughout the Midwest. John
Huntoon, trombone, teaches at Anderson University, and
can be heard in several area orchestras. Melissa
Williams, tuba, teaches at Butler University and performs
with orchestras in Indiana and Kentucky. Tom
Harvey, percussion, performs throughout the Midwest in
concert as well as in the studio. The
Keynote Brass has been heard in concert throughout Indiana
and Wisconsin, and has gained a reputation as one of
the area’s leading chamber ensembles. Their
first recording,
titled “Reflections”, features “Freedom’s Hope”, which
was commissioned by the group and was composed by James
Beckel, principal trombonist with the Indianapolis
Symphony Orchestra. We
hope you enjoy the variety of music presented by The
Keynote Brass. |
